While they continue to look for a new manager, Leicester City is said to have met with Graham Potter’s representative.

Since Enzo Maresca left the King Power Stadium, a number of names have been mentioned in relation to the open position. Potter is allegedly City’s “top target,” according to talkSPORT, and the team is contemplating “an audacious swoop,” although there may be a roadblock.

It is reported that the club had discussions with John Morris, Potter’s longtime representative. But money is mentioned as a potential problem because, according to the report, City could not have “the necessary funds” to sign the 49-year-old this summer.

Since being fired by Chelsea in April 2023—just seven months after moving from Brighton and Hove Albion—Potter has not had a job. If Erik ten Hag departs, he is reportedly a candidate for the Manchester United position.

It is also reported that City has spoken with Steve Cooper, the former head coach of Nottingham Forest. Two fresh contenders have surfaced as possible Maresca substitutes in the interim.

According to reports, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has been unemployed since his three-year tenure at Old Trafford ended in late 2021, has had a conversation with City.

The second new name is Davide Ancelotti, who plays right-hand for Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti and is his son. In recent years, Ancelotti junior’s reputation has grown dramatically due to his tactical work both on the touchline and behind the scenes with his father.

Both City and Reims, a French team, have reportedly spotted Davide Ancelotti’s skill and have contacted Real Madrid to inquire about his availability, according to Spanish publication Revelo. The 34-year-old is eager to stay another year with the Champions League winners, but sources indicate they have been pushed back.
