After Kemar Roofe left Ibrox this summer, he sent a farewell letter to the Rangers faithful. Brighton forward Abdallah Sima responded.

After struggling with injuries for most of the season, which limited him to just six Premiership starts and one goal, the Jamaican international left Glasgow when his contract expired.

Sima also departed the Gers at the conclusion of the season after his Seagulls loan period ended, but as the focus shifts to the off-season, the two forwards have already engaged on social media.

“It’s my turn to hand back the 25 jersey after four years at this special club!” Roofe wrote in a collection of his best moments wearing a Rangers shirt that he posted on his Instagram profile on Saturday, June 8.

“The film highlights the special times we had on the field, but I also made lifelong friends off the field. I can now say that I’m a die-hard Rangers fan. I’m grateful that Gers invited me.

Sima responded quickly, by putting two hands together in the shape of a heart and a red heart emoji.

Will Abdallah Sima be permanently signed by the Rangers at Ibrox during the summer transfer window?
Sima hasn’t fully separated himself from Rangers, despite the fact that this may only be a little reaction. It is likely that Sima is one of those pals whom Roofe was referring to in the initial message.

Sima may have only been on loan in Glasgow for a season—much of which he spent lying on the sidelines—but he obviously loved his time up north because he has made a real impression on the team.

It should not be difficult to persuade him to return this summer, but it might be more challenging to win Brighton’s approval. This summer, the Seagulls are anticipated to test the market, and it doesn’t appear that the Gers would fair well in that situation.

Although it is hoped that a deal may be reached, fans shouldn’t hold out hope for anything in the near future. This can be a story that drags on for the whole summer season.
