Following their failure to gain promotion to the Premier League, Leeds United may lose a number of important players during the summer transfer window.
Archie Gray is one of the players who might be persuaded to leave Elland Road. The youthful, adaptable midfield player is regarded as a fantastic talent by many, and he demonstrated this last season under Daniel Farke by making 47 appearances in the Championship.
Fabrizio Romano claims that a number of teams, notably those in Germany and England, are closely monitoring him. The 18-year-old midfielder, who can play right back, defensive midfielder, or attacking midfielder, is of great interest to them.
The Whites, on the other hand, have not decided what to do with the player. If they receive a strong offer, it will be intriguing to watch what they decide.
“Archie Gray’s future has not yet been decided; it is important to see what Leeds United wants to do.” Romano wrote.
“It’s not just one club that’s closely monitoring him; numerous are. The player is highly sought after in Germany and England.
Big summer window ahead of Leeds United
Archie is the latest member of the famous Gray family to represent Leeds. He loves the club and would do anything to stay at Elland Road.
His performance last season was “phenomenal” at times, and it does not come as a surprise that several clubs across Europe are vying for his signature.
Ideally, had Leeds secured promotion, the Whites would have been in a better position to keep him at the club. But now they could be forced to offload players like Gray and Crysencio Summerville.
It has recently been suggested that Leeds midfielder Ilia Gruev has also decided to jump ship this summer. If the Whites decide to sell Gray, they are expected to demand a hefty transfer fee for him. As of now, it appears that they are pretty relaxed about his situation.
