Newcastle United transfers: A hectic month is anticipated on Tyneside as the summer transfer window opens on Friday, June 14.
Newcastle United is hoping for a busier summer transfer window in order to add players to Eddie Howe’s team and reduce their salary bill, following a slow winter transfer season. In this writer Q&A, we address some of the most important queries about Newcastle United’s impending summer transfer window:

Will Lloyd Kelly become a Newcastle United player?

Kelly appears to be close to signing with the Magpies. There doesn’t seem to be as much competition for Kelly’s signature as there was for Tosin Adarabioyo, and Newcastle is said to be the front-runner to sign the Bournemouth defender.

Kelly and Eddie Howe have worked together before, so the manager and player are aware of what to anticipate from one another. The Magpies have been following Kelly for some time now, and now that it has been confirmed that he will be leaving Vitality Stadium at the end of his contract, Kelly’s future will soon be decided.

Kelly, a versatile defender with Premier League experience, is exactly what the team is searching for this summer and will be a reasonably priced alternative to boost their defense while they attempt to make other improvements.

Where will Newcastle United look to strengthen?

With the exception of the unusually quiet winter window at the beginning of this year, Newcastle will be open to strengthening in all areas and to any additions that are judged to be good value for money, just like their previous windows under new ownership. A goalkeeper and a versatile forward—someone who can play both on the wing and as a striker—will probably be given priority, though.

If they are successful in selling players, their plans will become more apparent, and the team’s deficiencies will start to show. This summer, players like Miguel Almiron and Callum Wilson might be traded, in which case new players would need to be signed.

Although money may be tight and the team may feel well-stocked in that area, a new center midfield player may also be considered. It will seem like a fresh signing when Sandro Tonali returns to the football field two games into the season.

Who could leave Newcastle United this summer? Do they need to sell before June 30?

Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Everton, Nottingham Forest, Chelsea, and Leicester City may have to sell players by the end of June in order to go by the Profit and Sustainability Rules, according to a report from Sky Sports earlier this week. Players like Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes have been strongly linked to leaving the team this summer, but the Gazette has learned that neither player will be up for sale.

As previously indicated, Wilson and Almiron have been named as players who might depart from St. James’ Park this summer after drawing interest in the winter transfer window. Almiron may consider moving to Saudi Arabia, and Wilson is said to have supporters in both the Premier League and Europe.

Newcastle will also be hoping to offload some players that spent last season out on-loan with Isaac Hayden, Ryan Fraser and Jamal Lewis among those that could leave Tyneside this summer. Fraser has been linked with a return to Southampton after he helped the Saints seal promotion to the Premier League.
