Newcastle United winger Amadou Diallo is out of contract at the end of the month.

The 21-year-old joined Newcastle from West Ham United back in 2022 and went on to make one competitive first-team appearance for the club, coming off the bench in a 4-1 win over Chelsea in November 2023. Diallo also travelled with the Newcastle first-team to Australia where he featured in the friendly matches against Tottenham Hotspur and the A-League All Stars.

But after it was confirmed he would not be offered a new deal at Newcastle, the winger is searching for a new club ahead of the 2024-25 season. The Gazette understands Diallo is currently exploring his options regarding his next move, with a move abroad under consideration.

In the meantime, Diallo has shared images of himself back in East London training at the Newham Powerleague in Barking. Diallo was training in Newcastle Castore shorts and the West Ham shirt of his former Hammers academy team-mate Divin Mubama. Mubamba made 12 appearances for West Ham’s first team during the 2023-24 campaign.

Diallo issued a farewell message to Newcastle on social media last month.

“My time at @nufc has come to an end,” the former England Under-17 international wrote. “Firstly, I would like to thank the club for giving me the great opportunity of playing for them.

“I would also like to give a massive thank you to the fans for their support as I really enjoyed representing the club.”

Diallo is one of several Newcastle youngsters leaving the club this summer. Jude Smith has recently signed for Carlisle United following his release from Newcastle while Dylan Stephenson has joined Dagenham & Redbridge.
