The Athletic claims that if two players Leeds United sold in the summer of 2022 walk on again this summer, the club will not profit monetarily.

In light of Leeds’ failure to return to the Premier League, Daniel Farke is considering the possibility of losing important players from his team this summer. Other teams are showing interest in a number of Leeds players, so the Elland Road team may need to cash in.

The Whites would welcome further funding from elsewhere, and sell-on provisions in the contracts for Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips, who were both sold in 2022, would be beneficial because they might transfer again this summer.

Leeds, however, will not profit if one or both players go because neither contract has a sell-on clause.

Since Phillips has not performed well at Manchester City, the Premier League winners want to let him go this summer.

Raphinha has also been mentioned in relation to a potential high-profile departure from Barcelona.

Leeds will have to look elsewhere to boost their balance sheet though and player sales are widely expected at Elland Road.
