Given that Mikel Arteta and the team have a busy summer ahead of them, Arsenal will have plenty of talent to scout at Euro 2024 this month and next.

If rumors are to be believed, Edu plans to do a little roster revamp this summer, bringing in upgrades and waiving certain players.

Cedric Soares and Mohamed Elneny, two well-liked former faces of north London who are no longer needed, have already declared their departure from the club.

And while it’s not quite certain, it appears like players like Aaron Ramsdale and Eddie Nketiah will also go.

Not to mention Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney, who are also free to leave Arsenal this summer, there are four senior players who might depart.

While the team has been connected to several replacements at left back and in midfield, adding a new goalkeeper to challenge David Raya will be just as crucial.

Reports state that Ramsdale has expressed his desire to quit Arsenal.

Giorgi Mamardashvili, the Valencia keeper, is being pursued by Newcastle, but Arsenal ought to act first.
Currently, Arsenal is connected to Andriy Lunin of Real Madrid and Justin Bijlow of Feyernoord as potential Ramsdale replacements.

But are Arsenal missing a trick?

Georgia number one Giorgi Mamardashvili has just enjoyed an incredible season with Valencia, a 23-year-old who already has 17 caps for his country.

And when scouring the goalkeeper market right now, there are few better than the £35m-rated stopper.

Mamardashvili is famed for his high-claims, able to thwart opponent attacks in a similar fashion to Raya.

And whilst the Georgian might not be so proficient with his feet, it’s definitely something he can improve given his age and experience.

Given the season Mamardashvili has enjoyed he’s unlikely to want to settle as second-choice at any club, but that shouldn’t be seen as a negative for Arsenal.

And with Ukraine’s Lunin suffering a shaky start to Euro 2024, many clubs will be watching Mamardashvili closely, aware of his rich potential.

Moreover, given that Newcastle are said to have made a bid for Mamardashvili, Arsenal should be presenting interest of their own.

All that being said, Arsenal are said to be preparing a bid for a £50m defender who has been ‘fantastic’ at Euro 2024.
