Brighton & Hove Albion’s Pascal Gross has drawn interest from Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund.
Bild said two days ago that Dortmund has looked into the possibility of trying to sign the 32-year-old during the summer transfer window.
The Brighton player’s future was updated on X, formerly known as Twitter, by Florian Plettenberg, a journalist with Sky Deutschland.
The midfielder’s contract is set to expire in 2025, thus his future is still unknown.
The Germany international is in the picture to sign with the Bundesliga team; he hasn’t decided where he wants to play next season. It appears he’s got his eye on the Euros.
Roberto De Zerbi’s replacement, Fabian Hürzeler, was named by Brighton last week, and the new manager is eager to keep the player at The Amex.
In an attempt to persuade Gross to prolong his stay with the Premier League team, Hürzeler has already called him “multiple times.” The Seagulls coach intends to center his new endeavor around the German, according to Plettenberg.
In the meantime, Eintracht Frankfurt and Dortmund remain in the background, with BVB leading the pack due to their strong relationship with Gross’ representatives. The two parties are currently having substantive discussions.
Gross is yet to make his final decision, and it remains to be seen whether Hürzeler can stop his exit this summer.
