Leeds United is getting close to completing yet another significant summer departure.

Marc Roca’s permanent sale has advanced for the Whites as of late, and Real Betis is now anticipated to complete a bid for the 27-year-old in the next few days.

Roca will be leaving Leeds for the first time this summer. Originally, Roca was expected to return to Betis on loan, but Leeds has now moved to finalize a permanent deal.

Leeds has already stated that player sales will be essential to meeting PSR requirements, and as the financial year’s end on June 30 draws near, it is obvious that things are going on behind the scenes.

The good news is that Leeds is reportedly pleased to be freeing up Roca from the payroll burden in a transaction that won’t result in a loss for the organization.

Major update emerges on Jack Harrison’s Leeds future

Roca is not the only exit that is almost finalized; it has been evidently a busy day behind the scenes at Leeds.

Even if Leeds are in a stronger position with the returning loanees this summer, according to Paraag Marathe, a few still have the option to go temporarily.

One of them is said to be Jack Harrison, and the Athletic claims that he has made progress toward a potential comeback to Everton.

It’s not official yet, but Harrison is supposedly getting close to returning to Goodison Park for a second straight season on loan.

The 27-year-old is eager to return to Everton this summer, and it looks like he will get his wish because the Toffees will pay his full salary instead of a loan fee.

Harrison’s Elland Road contract expires in2028, therefore Leeds shouldn’t be negatively impacted in terms of Harrison’s worth if he is eventually sold.

Harrison loan deal a lasting impact of Victor Orta at Leeds

Harrison didn’t receive a new contract from Leeds until April of the season that the Whites were demoted.

It was terrible enough that Victor Orta included a loan clause for one summer, but the fact that he did it repeatedly demonstrates how incompetent he was as a sporting director.

There was a very real chance that Leeds would be headed for the Championship at the time of his deal, so it’s unclear why this clause was added.

Either way, Harrison will be spared the salary burden for a another season.
