There has now been another development following Fabrizio Romano’s assertion that Michael Olise had been given a new contract by Crystal Palace.

Late on Wednesday, an Italian writer disclosed that the Eagles, hoping to stave off Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Newcastle, had offered the France U21 international a new contract that includes a pay increase and an updated release clause.

But now, an intriguing development between Michael Olise and Crystal Palace has surfaced.

Michael Olise’s contract situation is not accurate, according to Crystal Palace supporters.
Now, Edmund Brack of the South London Press disputes Romano’s assertion.

While Romano covers football all over the world, the Crystal Palace correspondent, who concentrates more on local issues in south London, feels that Crystal Palace has not extended an offer to Olise for a new contract.

“Told Crystal Palace have not yet offered Michael Olise a new contract at Selhurst Park,” Brack wrote on X. Though there are now no new terms on the table, that doesn’t mean it won’t happen #CPFC.

It appears that there will be more months of conjecture around the Crystal Palace No. 7’s 2023 future after a summer of intense uncertainty that unexpectedly culminated in him signing a new contract in SE25.

Fabrizio Romano intensifies
In an ideal world, we would be providing you with information that has been approved by all pertinent journalists.

But the Italian has already retaliated, doubling down on his initial assertion, suggesting that Romano and Brack are getting rather different responses from their sources.

He wrote: “They did my friend, ofc (of course) it doesn’t mean he will decide to sign but the offer is there” in response to a Crystal Palace supporter. While the bids from Kamada and Chadi Riad were present, as was Jobe Bellingham’s interest, nothing was reported.

It’s obvious that Romano believes Olise has received a new contract offer from Crystal Palace, but only time will tell for sure.
