Last summer, Michael Olise leveraged supposed (and strong) interest from Chelsea into a fat new contract at Crystal Palace. Twelve months later, he may be ready to pull off the same trick.
According to a Fabrizio Romano “exclusive” yesterday, Crystal Palace have offered their starman a new deal with higher wages and presumably an even higher release clause. It’s unclear which way Olise may be leaning at the moment, though Chelsea are said to remain in the quest for his favors.
The Blues had reportedly asker permission from Palace to talk to he player about personal terms last week, Unfortunately, no further development in our favor has occurred sine (or at least reported to have occurred as such).
The 22-year-old had been in our Academy for seven years, U8 through U14, before leaving in 2016, but he’s blossomed into a very talented player over the past three years of first-team action at Crystal Palace. While he would certainly create an even bigger glut of young talent at attacking positions in the squad, he would be a great (re-)signing nonetheless.
