As Joe Rodon gets ready to depart Tottenham Hotspur, a number of teams have been linked to a bid for him this summer, including Leeds United.

It’s possible that Leicester City has an advantage over Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window for Joe Rodon. After being pleased with Rodon’s efforts during the previous season while wearing Leeds United’s colors, the Foxes are reportedly interested in signing him.

Despite losing out on promotion to the Premier League, Leeds has been widely rumored to be interested in re-signing Rodon. The Wales international is eager to join the team on a permanent basis.

Aiming for their first season back in the top flight, Southampton and Ipswich Town are also rumored to be eager.

Leicester, though, may be hoping that the chance to work with Steve Cooper once more will be sufficient to entice the center back to the King Power Stadium. Cooper has been signed by the Foxes for a three-year contract after Enzo Maresca was lost to Chelsea at the beginning of the summer.

To give the Foxes the best opportunity of competing when they return to the top flight, the former Nottingham Forest player will get to work right away to get his team ready for preseason. He will also be eager to add players to his squad. Cooper worked with Rodon at Swansea City in his first senior management position, helping to shape the player into what he is now.

Even though Rodon suffered from injuries while working with the Welshman, he was still able to make 25 appearances under Cooper’s guidance, and his growth and performances helped to clear the path for his 2020 transfer to Tottenham. Although a lot has transpired since their Swansea days, it would be appealing to work for a Premier League manager he knows and trusts.
