After agreeing to terms for Tim Iroegbunam of Aston Villa, Everton is currently working on sealing a deal with Leeds United for Jack Harrison, according to Fabrizio Romano.

If Iroegbunam passes his physical, the transfer guru said on Thursday, June 20, via his personal X account that he will be moving to Goodison Park for a £9 million transaction.

After that, attention will move to completing Harrison’s transfer, as the winger is expected to leave Leeds on loan for a second consecutive season.

Leeds United forfeits the transfer fee for Jack Harrison.
Harrison’s contract allows him to go out on loan from Elland Road one more in the upcoming campaign.

Leeds will no longer be responsible for his pay, but they will also forfeit any potential transfer fee.

Harrison’s contract is still good for four years, so in a year and a half, there is still potential for him to get paid a reasonable amount.

That will depend on how well he plays at Goodison Park in 2024–2025, though; a strong season will increase his value, while a poor one will discourage clubs from making any kind of offer. It’s a risky move, but that’s the one the club chose to take when they faced Premier League relegation the previous season.

For a total of £9 million, Everton acquired Iroegbunam, a player who is well-established in the Premier League, and another player who appears to have a lot of talent.

Leeds, on the other hand, shouldn’t be too devastated because they always anticipated that Harrison wouldn’t be available this season.

However, losing players like Willy Gnonto and especially Crysencio Summerville will be more difficult to overcome.
