Cardiff City 1-0 Birmingham: Aston ...

Following their victory over Leeds in the Championship promotion match last month, the Saints are eager to add more attacking talent to their roster in preparation for their Premier League comeback.

Former Hull boss Liam Rosenior has called Philogene “ridiculous.” He made an impression for Hull last season after completing a deadline-day transfer from Aston Villa in the summer.

In 33 appearances for the team, the 22-year-old scored 12 goals and provided six assists, finishing as Hull’s highest scorer in the Championship the previous season.

Hull barely missed the playoffs in the Championship under Philogene’s leadership, but he is now trying to get a summer transfer to the Premier League.

TEAMtalk claims that West Ham and Southampton are both interested in the left-winger, who is even seen as a top target by the Hammers.

Hull paid about £5 million for Philogene in the summer, and if his transfer to the Premier League goes through this transfer window, the Tigers want to turn a profit.

West Ham and Southampton Eye Philogene Deal are both considering it.

Southampton and West Ham are among the Premier League and European teams interested in Philogene, according to TEAMtalk.

Since the beginning of the year, there has been a lot of interest from the English top flight. In February, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Premier League clubs were keeping an eye on Philogene.

Hull is apparently expecting offers throughout this transfer window, yet they are “reluctant to lose their attacking talisman.”

After leaving the Aston Villa academy, Philogene made his Premier League debut in 2021 but only played in six games for the senior team.

The gifted forward scored five goals in six games for the Young Lions during his incredible performances for Hull the previous season, earning him a call-up to the England U21 team.

Flynn Downes, the Southampton lead, is keen to sign a long-term contract.

Flynn Downes, a midfielder for West Ham United, is expected to sign a permanent contract with Southampton this summer, according to GIVEMESPORT sources.

Russell Martin, the manager of Saints, is apparently eager to have Downes return after he was instrumental in their successful bid for promotion the previous year.

During his loan from West Ham, the center midfielder made 37 appearances across all competitions and rapidly became an important member of Martin’s team.

According to GMS sources, Southampton has been in contact with the Hammers since the end of the previous campaign in an attempt to quickly reach an agreement to bring Downes back to St. Mary’s Stadium.

Downes, who committed to West Ham for five years in 2022, is rumored to be open to offers of about £15 million this summer.
