One of Nottingham Forest’s players may now be going to spend the season on loan after his future has been decided.

Under Nuno Espirito Santo’s leadership, Forest has signed New Zealand international Marko Stamenic from Red Star Belgrade, their first signing of the summer transfer season.

The midfield player won’t have to unpack his bags at the City Ground, though, as an immediate loan to Olympiacos, a sister club of Forest, has been approved.

Additionally, it’s possible that another player will join Stamenic for the following season on loan from the Reds.

For the time being, Evangelos Marinakis is considering shifting certain players to his other club, despite the fact that Forest is one of the Premier League teams that have to move some players this month before the PSR deadline.

Forest plans to let go of a player who hasn’t even started for the team.
To raise the caliber of the team he took over halfway through the 2023–24 season, Nuno’s team plans to add players over the next several weeks.

Carlos Miguel, the goalkeeper, appears to be leaving Brazil to move to England after Forest activated his release clause earlier this week.

But if Forest is to meet the impending PSR deadline at the end of the month, players will need to move on.

Loans might not provide the necessary funds for the team, but it appears like Forest will lose another player for the upcoming campaign.

According to journalist Kostas Lianos, Olympiacos are keen to keep Omar Richards at the club for the upcoming campaign.

Richards was rumored to be returning to the City Ground after playing his entire 2023–2024 season in Greece.

Due to injuries, the £8.5 million 26-year-old only made 15 appearances for Olympiacos; nevertheless, it appears that they now intend to give him another chance for the Greek team.

He hasn’t even participated in a game for Forest yet.

Bradley Locko is the left-back cover that Forest is presently eyeing.
Nuno Tavares, who spent his loan with Forest, will also returning to Arsenal, so there won’t be many options at left back.

Bradley Locko, a young player from Stade Brest, is reportedly on Forest’s radar after making an impression in Ligue 1 for the team that finished third in the league.

This could imply that, with Richards still on the books, Forest will start the upcoming campaign with Harry Toffolo and Locko as their choices.

With teams like Southampton and Leicester City promoted for the upcoming season, improvements would undoubtedly be required, and a player of this caliber will undoubtedly deliver exactly that.
