BeIN SPORTS reports that Rangers have finalized the transfer of FAR Rabat’s Hamza Igamane.
Reputable news source X reported on June 22 that the striker has signed a five-year contract with Ibrox, “officially” concluding the transaction.
Following the acceptance of their £1.5 million bid last week [KoraMaroc, June 16], the Gers have finalized the agreement for the 21-year-old forward to join Philippe Clement’s team for the 2024–2025 campaign.
They stated, “Hamza Igamane, a striker for the Royal Moroccan Army, has officially signed a five-year contract with Scottish club Glasgow Rangers.”
Rangers complete their transfers swiftly.
With support from the board and Nils Koppen, Clement is moving rapidly to implement the improvements he requested at Ibrox this summer.
Igamane steps in and fixes a problematic position, but Jefte, Oscar Cortes, Clinton Nsiala, and Connor Barron have already been formally confirmed by the club as new recruits following five departures at the end of their contracts.
With 22 goals in the previous season, Cyriel Dessers was the top scorer but found it difficult to win over substantial portions of the fans, and Danilo missed the most of the campaign due to injury.
However, with Kemar Roofe and Fabio Silva already gone and Sam Lammers scheduled to depart permanently [VI, 1 June], another striker is required, and Igamane can cover the gap by playing across the front line as well.
This is a good addition that serves as more evidence that the team is well-aware of its goals for the group and how they want things to appear come 2024–2025 season opener.
