Wilfried Gnonto, a winger for Leeds United, may depart Elland Road during the summer transfer window as Nottingham Forest is said to have made an official bid.

A report from Africa Foot claims that Forest has put in a proposal of £16.9 million to capture the adaptable winger, as they are anxious to get him to City Ground.

Leeds will reply soon, but they have not yet responded to the bid. Over the past 12 months, Gnonto has been strongly connected to a move away from Elland Road, with clubs in England and Italy expressing interest.

The Whites, who were not promoted to the Premier League the previous season, would likely have to sell a few players during the difficult transfer window in order to comply with the EFL’s budgetary restrictions.

The Whites may be compelled to sell Gnonto, Crysencio Summerville, or both, according to numerous rumors. Gnonto’s contract at Elland Road is set to expire in 2027, but he may decide to go before.

Is Leeds going to approve the offer for Willy Gnonto?
Despite his incredible talent, the Italian winger needs to make a change. He attempted to arrange a relocation away from Elland Road last summer, but the agreement ultimately fell through.

Under Daniel Farke, he had trouble making an impression at first, but in the second part of the season, he emerged as a crucial component of the endeavor. He started more games than Dan James at the beginning of the season, and in 36 appearances, he finished with eight goals and two assists.

Luciano Spaletti was still unconvinced to send him to the Euro 2024 Championships. Leeds likely values him more even if it seems like Forest has made a really decent offer.

If Gnonto continues through the end of the summer, Elland Road may offer him a new contract.
