Jack Harrison of Leeds United is expected to sign a loan deal with Everton shortly, but the Premier League team hopes to sign a permanent agreement in “due course.”
Leeds’ top goal for the summer window was to deal with the individuals returning from loan spells abroad in 23–24, including two who had loan clauses.
One member of that duo, Jack Harrison, is almost certain to confirm his second Elland Road loan transfer out.
Jack Harrison to Everton on loan all but confirmed, Fabrizio Romano delivers key update
Harrison’s future is expected to be revealed as a new signing for Sean Dyche in the near future, according to Fabrizio Romano, who has provided an important update.
After Leeds was unable to secure promotion, he is now free to exercise his loan option once more as he is joining Everton on a season-long loan.
However, Romano does divulge a crucial aspect of Everton’s long-term intentions for the winger, stating that they intend to sign him permanently in “due course.”
Harrison is contracted until 2028 with Leeds after penning fresh terms in the April prior to relegation under Javi Gracia.
Harrison needs to leave permanently to find consistency again
With this uncertainty hanging over Harrison, it’s hard for him to get too committed to a club, knowing that his loan situation could change again if we go up next season.
Everton clearly like the look of him, but there’s no shock that they’ve capitalised on this loan clause to get him tied down for another season.
However, if they do want him long-term, they should be looking at a permanent deal soon to have it sewn up.
