Malmo posted this video to confirm that deal with Celtic to sign Sead Hakšabanović had been successfully completed.
Hakšabanović was signed by Ange Postecoglou from Russian side FC Rubin Kazan in August 2022, signing a five year contract at Celtic. He was used sparingly by Ange, more often than not coming off the bench. With Postecolgou leaving for Tottenham in June last year, Hakšabanović wasn’t given much time at all under the incoming Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers
On transfer deadline day last summer he joined English Championship side Stoke City on a season long loan. He made 21 appearances for Stoke, scoring once and the English side decided against making a permanent move for the player.
His Celtic spell was officially ended today with the news that the transfer to Malmo has been completed. Hakšabanović has signed a four-year deal with the Allvenskan champions and subsequently posted his goodbye message to Celtic as shown below.
“So my time at Celtic has come to an end, earlier than I thought and expected an wanted but smoother people had another opinion and I gotta respect that.
“I wanna thank the players, the staff and the fans because that is really what Celtic I about, we made some good memories together and I will always have love for Celtic, good luck and Celtic ate massive everywhere they go.
