Leeds United are in the market for new additions out wide this summer with the likelihood that both Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto leave Elland Road.

Summerville has a whole host of Premier League clubs showing interest in his signature, with Brighton said to have opened talks to land the pocket-sized Dutchman before the start of the 2024-25 season.

Italy star Gnonto came back into the side after refusing to play for Leeds last summer after attempting to force an exit. This summer it is different, Leeds might actually need to sell him to balance the books.

Nottingham Forest are have tabled a bid of £16.9m for Gnonto, while Inter Milan could attempt a move to increase the number of homegrown talents at the Nerrazzuri ahead of Champions League registration.

Leeds battling Rangers and Victor Orta for £3.5m-rated winger

Leeds need new additions out wide this summer then, with Jaidon Anthony also leaving and returning to parent club Bournemouth. Ian Poveda is set to exit Elland Road on a free transfer at the end of the month.

One player the club have been linked with is Couhaib Driouech. The 22-year-old Moroccan impressed in The Eredivisie last season, having a hand in 16 goals in 33 games but failing to prevent relegation.

Rangers have joined the £3.5m chase to land the winger, with Victor Orta’s Sevilla and PSV Eindhoven also said to be keeping tabs on Driouech. But now, the player has made a decision on which club.

Excelsior’s Couhaib Driouech picks which club he wants to join

A report from Dutch outlet AD says that Driouech only wants to join PSV this summer. PSV are in talks with Excelsior about a move for the wide man, but are only willing to offer around £1.5m as things stand.

So, while Leeds are not Driouech’s pick for the 2024-25 season, it is worth Leeds sticking around and waiting to see if PSV choose not to pursue a deal as Excelsior look to get a premium price for the star.

A sale is expected with Driouech unlikely to want to play in the Dutch second tier next season and showing he is far too good for that anyway, and given his contract is due to expire in a year’s time.
