Real Betis is now more optimistic that they can defeat Leeds United in two raids this summer.

It appears like Betis will not be stopping there as they are already close to finalizing a deal to re-sign Marc Roca on a permanent basis.

Roca spent the previous season on loan at Betis, and it appeared as though he might sign a second short-term contract; nevertheless, the two teams have been working to find a long-term solution.

The deal that the two teams have able to come to seems to please them both, since Betis paid a lot less than Leeds did to sign him in 2022 when they signed him from Bayern Munich.

Leeds, however, is reportedly “satisfied” with the amount they will receive, and it appears that the announcement will likely come this week or the following.

Betis’ trust in the Diego Llorente trade is building.
Based on the cordial agreement they were able to achieve with Roca, it is evident that the two clubs have established a respectable relationship behind closed doors.

And it might give Betis an advantage in their apparent escalating pursuit of a second Leeds player.

Journalist Samuel Silva claims that since news of the Spanish team’s interest in Diego Llorente surfaced this week, there has been additional progress.

Llorente has been on loan at AS Roma in Italy for the past season and a half, although it is rumored that they are merely asking for another loan at this time.

Conversely, Betis is increasingly confident that they can persuade the 30-year-old to return to Spain and is truly “willing” to make Leeds a permanent offer for him.

Since Llorente’s contract does not include a loan clause, whatever team is eager to attempt and sign him on a permanent basis will undoubtedly have the advantage.

How much does Leeds want to pay for Llorente this summer?
In the summer of 2020, Leeds paid an incredible £18 million to sign Llorente from Real Sociedad.

Sadly, Leeds will never come close to receiving that kind of money for selling him, therefore a significant loss may be in store.

Earlier this month, there were rumors of an asking price of £4 million, but sources in the past few days seem to indicate that it has been lowered to £3 million.

In order to secure the best possible deal, Leeds should undoubtedly make every effort to start a bidding war between Roma and Betis.
