Crystal Palace has reportedly increased its efforts to beat Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Jobe Bellingham, a Sunderland midfielder and the brother of Real Madrid star Jude, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Spurs and Jobe Bellingham were connected.
Being an attacking midfielder by trade, Jobe is similar to his brother in terms of position and style. He is also adaptable enough to play as a forward or in a deeper role.
After moving from St Andrew’s to the Stadium of Light last summer, the 18-year-old had an amazing 2023–24 season, and Spurs are reportedly taking notice of his work in the North East.
Ange Postecoglou’s team reportedly contacted the teenager to discuss a possible summer transfer to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as TEAMtalk revealed earlier this month.
Crystal Palace is attempting to take the lead in the Bellingham race.
But if Romano’s most recent report is accurate, Palace has now moved closer to Bellingham, and the Eagles are eager to get the player to Selhurst Park.
The midfield player is reportedly one of the South London club’s top objectives; the transfer’s specifics are now being worked out, according to the journalist.
Romano notes that Bellingham has not yet decided where he will play next, but other teams are also interested in him.

Tottenham is likely to be active in the Jobe transfer battle, but in order to give himself the best opportunity of playing regular first-team games the next season, the midfielder may be leaning toward a move to either Palace or a team in the Premier League’s lower division.
