According to HITC, West Ham United and Southampton have begun negotiations on the recruitment of a crucial defender for the South Coast team.

Southampton bought by Serbian ...

Ben Johnson, an English international defender, is expected to leave West Ham United when it seemed like he would sign a new contract.

However, Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town are now closing in on the signing of the defender and this has left the Hammers in a position where they need to replace the Englishman. Sources have now confirmed to HITC that the Hammers have opened talks with Southampton for the signing of right-back Kyle Walker-Peters. After a 1-0 win over Bristol City, Russell Martin was full of praise for the right-back, who scored the decisive goal, when he told the BBC: “He can score more and assist more. It’s a brilliant, brilliant goal.”

In order to complete the transaction, West Ham is prepared to offer players.
As they are offering Flynn Downes to The Saints, The Hammers are rumored to have made an offer for a trade for the England international, who made an impression while on loan at St Mary’s Stadium.

Additionally, HITC can disclose that Russell Martin’s team is aware of West Ham’s bid to the Saints for Danny Ings.

Since leaving the South Coast team, Ings has failed at West Ham and Aston Villa, and insiders have revealed that Martin’s group would be open to seeing the English forward return.

Ings was certainly a popular figure for the club as he netted 41 times in 91 games for the Saints and a returned to the newly promoted club would make a lot of sense.

Southampton are busy in the summer transfer market as they have secured the signing of Burnleyleft-back Charlie Taylor – who has agreed a two-year deal and will arrive on a free transfer.

Englishman declines Arsenal, Man City, and Liverpool after being convinced by Saints
Alex McCarthy is reportedly attracting interest from Manchester City and Liverpool, according to the South Coast club.

Though Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are rumored to be keen, sources close to HITC claim that the Saint have persuaded the Englishman to decline offers from some of the best teams in the Premier League.

McCarthy, 34, has reportedly drawn interest from Celtic and is desired by all three of these teams as their number two player.
