With a personal terms agreement reached for our third summer signing, West Ham United seems to have decided who will be the next player to arrive at the London Stadium.

Julen Lopetegui is unveiled as the new West Ham United manager on May 21, 2024 in London, England.

This summer, Julen Lopetegui has already added two new players to West Ham: veteran goalkeeper Wes Foderingham and teenage Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme.

The manager of the Hammers is obviously far from done, as he is eager to add six new players of the highest caliber this summer.

If the Spaniard is to supervise some real growth at the London Stadium, I believe he needs to bring in even more new players than that.

Depending on possible departures, West Ham needs to add a center-back, a striker, a defensive midfielder, a left winger, and most likely a pair of full-backs as well.

Although West Ham’s summer transfer window has gotten off to a respectable start, Lopetegui needs to step up his game immediately because our preseason will begin in around three weeks.

Another new signing could be on route to the Hammers imminently, but one final detail needs to be addressed it seems…

West Ham and the third summer signing agree on personal terms.
Tim Stiedten and Lopetegui are working nonstop to prepare the Hammers team for the next Premier League campaign.

The Hammers manager has to sign at least four or five more elite players if he wants to compete on all fronts next season.

Additionally, it appears that a trade involving a specific player is almost finalized, but there is a serious issue.

West Ham and Jota Silva, a winger for Vitoria de Guimaraes, have reportedly reached a personal terms agreement, according to a report from Fanatik.

The Hammers may find it difficult to agree to the Portuguese team’s £17 million asking price for the 24-year-old, though.

In fact, there were rumors circulating yesterday that West Ham had given up on signing the left-footed winger with the right foot.

That doesn’t seem to be the case at all, though. We should definitely make an effort to sign Silva this summer, in my opinion, as he is ideal for us.

Silva is a very fast player with great technical skill, a vicious stroke, and a very hard worker.

Last season, the attacker was playing for Vitoria de Guimaraes in Portugal, where he scored 15 goals and provided seven assists.

Jota Silva appears to be Lopetegui’s third summer acquisition, assuming West Ham and Vitoria de Guimaraes can agree on a deal.
