West Ham, Chelsea, and Tottenham can sign Lille striker Jonathan David at a £10million discount this summer, according to 90Min.

The news outlet reported on 28 June that suitors are aware that the Canada international is available for £30million, but he could be sold for even £20million if a guaranteed-fee-heavy structure offer is tabled.

The 24-year-old is not expected to finalise his transfer until the Copa America ends in July.

Jonathan David could be a shrewd signing for West Ham

David could be a shrewd signing for the Hammers as the 24-year-old Canadian striker has proven himself in Ligue 1 with Lille, scoring 19 goals and providing four assists in the league this past season.

He can play as a central striker, a second striker, or even as a wide forward, which would give the club more tactical options and flexibility in attack.

His age means he has significant resale value so if the Irons were to sign him for £20 million and he continues to develop and perform well, they could potentially sell him for a profit in the future.

The Canadian’s potential arrival would help address the Hammers’ need for more attacking firepower and has been on their radar for a while.

They have struggled to score goals consistently in recent seasons, and David’s goal-scoring ability and creativity could help improve their attacking output.

Whether or not they can convince him to sign ahead of Spurs and Chelsea remains to be seen.
