The Magpies are reportedly monitoring Yahya Idrissi-Regragui, a 16-year-old offensive midfielder who made his under-18s debut last season, according to Mail Online.

Idrissi-Regragui is said to be one of the Blues academy’s most exciting young players and to have already represented Morocco at the under-18 level. The adolescent is expected to make major progress toward senior football next year and already has a deal with Nike.

Chelsea has opened negotiations for a long-term contract in response to Manchester United and Newcastle’s links.

Newcastle has already acquired 16-year-old Aaron Epia from Everton and 14-year-old midfielder CJ Afumuzor from Portsmouth, and they intend to further boost their academy in the upcoming months.

Additionally, the Magpies are about to finalize the signing of Miodrag Pivas, a youth international for Serbia.

The 19-year-old center defender, who is also capable of playing defensive midfield, was seen on Wednesday outside St. James’ Park before he signed a free transfer. Pivas played for FK Jedinstvo Ub in the Serbian Superliga past season, where he made 25 appearances as a senior.

Nemanja Matic, a former Chelsea midfielder, recently gave Pivas a positive assessment, drawing comparisons to the legendary Nemanja Vidic of Manchester United.

Matic remarked, “A huge talent and serious potential.” “He’s headed for the national team if he keeps going in this direction. I believe this is the first player with such predispositions since Bradislav Ivanovic and Nemanja Vidic. A superb professional and a whole player.”
