This week, Rangers’ pursuit of further offensive firepower has come to a standstill as Philippe Clement works to assemble a winning squad for the upcoming year.

Though indications indicated that Hamza Igamane would arrive soon, he is still nowhere to be found. However, there may be advancement on another front.

Albion Rrahmani, a Kosovo international, seems like the summer’s brightest prospect if Rangers can convince him to sign, and that task might have been made simpler.

Signing a striker to free up Albion Rrahmani is quick for Bucharest.
With Kemar Roofe’s departure, there is room in the squad and on the pay bill, but the 23-year-old won’t come cheap.

Emanuel Rosu, a Romanian journalist, told Rangers News that Rapid Bucharest is requesting a £5 million fee, which may imply that Koppen will also need to provide funding.

According to the Greek media, Cyriel Dessers has submitted a transfer request. Teams from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Italy are also keeping an eye on him, as is PAOK Salonika.

When asked if the rumors about his star player were accurate, Rapid’s owner Dan Sucu gave the assembled press the cold shoulder, making the guy very unhappy.

Are there any specific proposals for Albion Rrahmani? Possibility of him leaving? Have you set a price for it? If it’s feasible, I would prefer to approach it differently.

“Let’s wager where all of that data will appear on the Rapid website, if it is verified, and if it is pertinent! And that information is available there; it won’t come from somewhere else.

It’s true that we live in a competitive environment.

However, you should try to keep information about your choices, thoughts, and goals inside the club.

“If there is a competitor who would like to learn our information or buy our players they will have to know it from us and not other sources.”

Has door opened for Rangers to sign Rrahmani?

There has though, been a twist in the tale.

Clubs tend to not want to let their best players go until they have secured a replacement and it looks like Rapid have done just that.

Slovakian Under-21 forward Timotej Jambor has been signed from MSK Zilina for £600,000 could open the door for Rrahmani to leave.

The 6ft 2 inch hitman arrived in a similar deal last summer and it looks like he could be about to make Rapid a hefty profit.

Hopefully the door has been opened for Rangers to make the sort of signing that should have been made last summer.
