Crystal Palace are interested in signing Arsenal attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.
The Eagles are all set to lose Michael Olise who is heading towards joining Bayern Munich. They now want to bring Smith Rowe to Selhurst Park as a potential replacement.
According to a report from The Sun (29 June), the Gunners could sell the 23-year-old midfielder who didn’t enjoy a great 2023-24 campaign under Mikel Arteta.
Smith Rowe made only 13 appearances in the league without scoring a goal last season, but he wants to stay at the north London club for next season.
For two seasons in a row, Smith Rowe has struggled to make a huge impact on the side, with injuries hampering his development.
Olise is likely to join Bayern Munich but the deal has not been officially confirmed yet. The German giants have met his £55m release clause and have agreed a salary of £220,000-per-week.
A move to Selhurst Park should be ideal for his progress if he wants to start a fresh journey. Oliver Glasner is building something exciting at Palace, and Smith Rowe can become an integral part of his plans.
Losing Olise will be a huge blow for Glasner, but Palace have earned a huge profit from his sale. The money can be properly utilised in rebuilding the squad.
Many fear that there could be more departures from Selhurst Park this summer. Marc Guehi has enjoyed a fantastic tournament with England in the Euro 2024 Championships and several big clubs could be vying for his signature.
Likewise, Eberechi Eze is also attracting interest from other Premier League rivals.
