After spending just one season at the City Ground, the Greek goalie left the Reds for Newcastle United. Elliot Anderson has made the other transfer, agreeing to a five-year contract to join Forest from Newcastle.

“I am very happy to be joining Newcastle United,” Vlachodimos said in a statement to his new team. Being a member of this massive team, which has outstanding players and a fantastic coach, is an honor for me. I’m eager to get going.”

“Odysseas is very experienced at elite European and international level and he joins a strong group of senior goalkeepers,” stated Eddie Howe, head coach of Newcastle United.

“That strength in depth is valuable and means we go into the new season with strong competition in a key area.”
