Joe Worrall, a defender for Nottingham Forest, is no longer a target for Coventry City; instead, the team is focusing on other possibilities.

The notion that the Sky Blues are seeking a loan rather than a long-term agreement, however, could prove to be a point of contention for Forest, who would love to make a profit on the £4 million player, who has a contract with the City Ground until 2026.

Although CoventryLive has learned that City has spoken with Worrall, wages also seem to be a problem.

After an encouraging season-long loan from Bologna, Mark Robins re-signed 22-year-old left-sided center-half Luis Binks to a permanent deal. This means that for the upcoming campaign, Robins will have four central defenders: Bobby Thomas and Joel Latibeaudiere, two players on the right side, and Liam Kitching and Binks, two players on the left.

Kyle McFadzean was used as the focal point of a back three until the middle of the season, when City shifted to a back four and the seasoned defender went to Blackburn Rovers. He began last season with five center-backs.

Since then, Robins has stated that he may use McFadzean’s personality and expertise to his advantage, but if he continues with a back four, it’s unclear if he would want five center halves vying for two slots.
