We begin Tuesday’s Premier League transfer rumour roundup with an update on Crystal Palace’s pursuit of Belgian international Aster Vranckx. The 21-year-old midfielder is currently on the books at VfL Wolfsburg in Germany, but according to reporter Sacha Tavolieri, the Eagles are ‘pushing hard’ to complete a deal to lure him to the English top flight.

Writing on X, Tavolieri claimed that talks are set to intensify between the two clubs over the next 24 hours, with Palace willing to pay around £8.5 million, as well as offering the player himself a five-year deal at Selhurst Park. Italian giants Napoli are also credited with an interest.

The 3AM Verdict: This could prove to be a really decent piece of business from Palace. Vranckx is a promising young talent with senior international experience available at an affordable price. If he can be snapped up, his arrival would bring plenty of cover and competition in the centre of the park.

Everton and Leicester eye Luis

Elsewhere, Portuguese outlet Record suggest that Everton and Leicester City are embroiled in a tussle to sign Florentino Luis from Benfica. The defensive midfielder has been linked with the Toffees for a while, but has emerged as a target for the Foxes in recent days too.

It is understood that Leicester are preparing a bid for the 24-year-old, but it is claimed that Benfica have already rejected an offer of around £25.5 million from an unspecified English club. For his part, Luis is open to the prospect of moving to the Premier League, but will not actively seek to force an exit.

The 3AM Verdict: This could turn into an all-out bidding war. Luis is a talent, and one who would serve either Leicester or Everton well. With the player open to a move to the Premier League, then it could well be the case that whichever club is able to stump up more cash for his signature wins the race.

West Ham plot Kilman swoop

And finally, GiveMeSport suggest that West Ham are readying themselves to make a new offer for Wolves defender Max Kilman in the coming days. The Hammers have reportedly been eyeing the centre-back for some time, and are willing to up the ante in their pursuit having been spurned previously by their Premier League rivals.

It is understood that new manager Julen Lopetegui is an admirer of Kilman, and would even consider handing him the captain’s armband at the London Stadium, were he to sign. For their part, Wolves have been unwilling to compromise on their £45 million asking for the 27-year-old.

The 3AM Verdict: With Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd both facing uncertain futures in East London, West Ham are very much expected to be in the market for reinforcements at centre-back this summer. To that end, Kilman would be a fantastic addition, with plenty of pedigree and Premier League experience. Price will be a factor, of course, but if there is a deal to be struck here, it could be a wonderful one for the Hammers.
