Dr Rajpal Brar said that if Joe Rodon, a defender for Tottenham, decides to sign a permanent contract with Leeds United, he is unlikely to pass another medical.
The injury expert argues that the club can forego the physical as he has been cared for by the Whites physios during the entire campaign and has not experienced any setbacks in his fitness.
This follows a report on June 1st by Football London’s Alasdair Gold stating that the Wales international has signed all the paperwork in preparation for a move to Elland Road.
Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapy specialist, exclusively spoke to MOT Leeds News about Rodon.
“Since Rondon was looked after by the team physios during the previous season, I imagine they would waive the medical.
“The medical staff has been closely monitoring his health, so if his stay is just going to be announced, they can forego the physical examination and pre-transfer medical examinations.
“He has also had almost flawless fitness, having participated in 43 of the league’s 46 games without suffering any serious injuries.”
When Joe Rodon is in the starting lineup, Leeds United is more likely to get promoted.
Rodon’s permanent signing will greatly increase Leeds’ chances of promotion.
During his loan stint at Elland Road, the 26-year-old defender has excelled, creating a strong connection with Ethan Ampadu at the center of the Leeds defense.
His leadership qualities, defensive skill, and experience will provide Leeds a strong platform to build on as they pursue promotion back to the Premier League.
By strengthening the squad’s defensive weaknesses, the Wales international will also help the team become a more formidable and well-rounded team that can contend at the top of the Championship.
