Lucas Paqueta, a midfielder for West Ham United, is apparently interested in joining Flamengo. It is anticipated that the Brazil international will not have any personal terms difficulties.

CaughtOffside is aware that negotiations are taking on over this potential transfer, with West Ham prepared to release Paqueta—ideally on loan with an obligatory buyout clause—although Flamengo would like a buy option subject to specific requirements.

According to insiders who spoke with CaughtOffside, Paqueta is also being courted by teams in the Saudi Pro League and Serie A. However, he would be willing to approve Flamengo’s transfer so that he can resume his career in his home country of Brazil.

Although Paqueta has excelled for West Ham, it appears that he will be leaving the London Stadium after receiving six FA accusations for allegedly purposefully receiving yellow cards during games as part of a potential betting scam.

Paqueta’s departure from West Ham appears to be imminent.
The 26-year-old’s departure from the Hammers during this issue may make sense, but it’s also important to note that manager Julen Lopetegui recently talked empathetically about the player.

The new West Ham boss stated, as cited by BBC Sport: “We know he and his family are suffering a lot.”

“We are excited to have him here with us. We are his family here in England, and we will look after him.

“I liked that he was having fun playing football when I saw him smiling during the last game.”

Although Paqueta may now be poised for an unexpected move away from European football to return to his own country, he can certainly be a top player on his day and at one point he would probably have been in the conversation for even bigger teams.
