With a proposal accepted, West Ham is now very close to making their third transfer of the summer window.

Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham have already entered the London Stadium under Julen Lopetegui’s leadership this summer.

West Ham, who ended in ninth place last season and lost out on European football, will be trying to improve.

The Hammers have not wasted any time in attempting to add players to Lopetegui’s team in preparation for the upcoming season.

And it now appears that they will finalize a potential agreement to sign a player, making him their third addition of the summer transfer season.

A £40 million offer is accepted for West Ham’s third summer signing.
Under David Moyes, the Hammers have had a successful few years in east London; nevertheless, given the results of the previous campaign, a change was evidently necessary.

Now that a new coach has been installed in the London Stadium dugout, the Hammers know exactly what he wants this summer.

West Ham’s pre-season is set to get up and running and it looks like there could now be three new faces being welcomed when the players reunite at the training ground.

According to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, West Ham have now had a £40m bid accepted by Wolves for Max Kilman.

Gary O’Neil is now looking set to go into the campaign without his captain but will receive a hefty sum in return.

But what this does mean for West Ham is they are adding a big addition to their backline with the future of Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd remaining uncertain.

Julen Lopetegui set for Max Kilman reunion

Kilman made 24 appearances under Lopetegui during the Spaniard’s time at Molineux where he racked up over 2000 appearances across all competitions.

And this is a player who set some high standards at Wolves having earned the captain’s armband in his six years at the club.

His former teammate Conor Coady spoke incredibly highly of the centre-back during their time in the Midlands labeling him as “brilliant“.

Lopetegui is such a fan of the defender, it has been claimed the Spaniard would be willing to make Kilman the West Ham captain if he does make the move.
