Rangers are close to securing their next signing with Hamza Igamane reportedly on his way to joining Ibrox.

According to Four Lads Had a Dream (4 July), the Gers are finally set to complete his signing. He will sign a long-term deal at Ibrox, with Rangers paying £2 million for his signature.

The 21-year-old attacker will now do his media stuff, and then he will be officially confirmed as Philippe Clement’s next signing.

The striker has already delivered a powerful thank-you message to FAR Rabat for the role they have played in his development as he embarks on a new journey at an iconic club.

The versatile forward can play through the middle as well as on the wide, and he will look to play a key role in Clement’s squad next season.

Four Lads wrote on X: “Hamza Igamane deal to Rangers is ready to finally be formally completed.

“Player is on his way, next to do his media stuff with the club & announcement then expected officially over the next few days.

“Widely reported before now by various organisations, but confirmation now delivered Long term deal with fee in region of £2m.”

The move comes as a bit of a surprise as not many Moroccan players have played in Scottish football in the past.

Rangers needed to bolster their attacking areas this summer after Kemar Roofe was shown the exit door following the end of his contract. Clement could look to add more players to the forward department especially if Cyriel Dessers leaves the club.

It would be unreasonable to think that the young talent will set the stage ablaze in no time, but he is someone who can become a genuine asset to the club.

He can play as a striker, second striker, left winger, or right winger, and this versatility makes him a potent weapon. He should be able to adapt to different tactical setups, and his playing style is similar to that of Memphis Depay and Marcus Rashford.
