Joe Rodon has sent his first message to Leeds United fans following his permanent transfer from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Wales international this week completed a move between clubs on the same day that Archie Gray moved the opposite way.
Rodon starred on loan at Elland Road last season as Leeds narrowly missed out on promotion back to the Premier League.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday (July 4), the defender wrote: “So happy to be back at this great club!
“I’ve always felt at home here and I’m looking forward to a big season!”
Many people then took to the comments section to congratulate the 26-year-old on his move, including his ex-Swansea team-mate and now former Sheffield United ace Oli McBurnie.
The forward was quick to respond as he left a clapping emoji and a heart emoji alongside Rodon’s message.
Joe Rodon must be delighted with Leeds United move
Rodon must be absolutely buzzing about his permanent move to Leeds.
After a successful loan spell last season, it’s clear he’s found a place where he thrives.
Signing a four-year deal also shows that the Whites have faith in him, and it’s a testament to his hard work.
From Swansea’s academy to becoming a fan favourite at Elland Road, Rodon’s journey has been impressive.
He’s shown what he’s capable of having already made over 50 appearances for the Whites and nearly 50 caps for Wales.
This move solidifies his place in a defence that’s counting on his leadership and experience.
Leeds fans know they’ve got a real asset in Rodon, and his return is a big boost for the team.
For Rodon himself, it’s a chance to continue his progress and contribute to something special at a club that values him. Fingers crossed he can now simply pick up from where he left off.
