Nottingham Forest’s promising start to this summer’s transfer window is set to continue as they close in on their fourth signing.
Nuno Espirito Santo has already seen three new faces come through the doors of the City Ground this summer.
After a rocky 2023/24 campaign, Evangelos Marinakis has not waited about this summer in strengthening his side to go again in the Premier League.
Elliot Anderson has marked the big money signing already this summer with Eric da Silva Moreira also signed.
Forest have also been able to add Marko Stamenic to their squad, but he has immediately been loaned out to their sister side Olympiacos.
But it seems as if Forest are now just days away from securing their fourth signing of the summer transfer window.
Nottingham Forest closing in on fourth summer signing
A lot can be said about how Forest have handled themselves this summer with the club looking to make no mistakes this time around.
The Reds suffered the consequences last season of their financial wrongdoings when it comes to FFP and made sure they avoided another points deduction.
Selling Moussa Niakhate and Orel Mangala provided them with breathing room in their PSR concerns whilst also making some moves of their own.
And the signings are set to continue as Forest look to provide Nuno with a stronger side for the upcoming campaign.
According to UOL, Forest are set to complete the signing of Corinthians goalkeeper Carlos Miguel on Monday.
The deal for the Brazilian goalkeeper is believed to be worth in the region of €4.2m (£3.5m) which is going to be paid to Corinthians next week.
Having now reportedly travelled to the United Kingdom earlier this week to complete the deal, Miguel’s contract will be signed on Monday.
Forest remain interested in signing Sam Johnstone
The signing of Miguel has been hailed by those in Brazil with one journalist congratulating Forest for landing themselves an ‘unbelievable’ goalkeeper.
However, between the sticks has provided Nuno with a real headache since he landed the job at the City Ground.
Despite looking set to sign Miguel over the coming days, Forest are still being linked with a potential move for Crystal Palace’s Sam Johnstone this summer.
Nuno struggled to find his best option in goal last season, but it seems he is not going to be short of options going into the new campaign.
