Two days ago, we covered claims from Italy that Leicester City have agreed a €15m fee with Atalanta for Caleb Okoli and that the two clubs have been working on the bonuses part of the deal.
Sportitalia indicate the Serie A side, Leicester and the centre-back initially expected the deal to have gone through by now.
The operation isn’t in danger, but has only been postponed. The outlet are optimistic of the deal going through as they say Okoli’s move to Leicester will be made ‘official soon’.
The two clubs have found an agreement for a deal worth around €15m including bonuses. The parties are sorting out the last details and the final formalities, including the player’s medical tests, that’s needed to make the transfer official.
Sportitalia claim it’s possible for the Italian to have his Leicester medical between Tuesday and Wednesday, and then complete a move to the King Power Stadium.
Okoli was on loan at Frosinone last season, where he made 37 appearances .
