According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund are yet to reach an agreement on a transfer fee for Brighton midfielder Pascal Groß.

For several weeks now, Dortmund and the Premier League team have been negotiating the midfielder’s transfer fee, but their valuations are still different. Brighton is reportedly holding out for close to €10 million, while Dortmund is reportedly willing to spend €8 million for Groß.

Groß has already stated that he would prefer to relocate to Signal Iduna Park, where he will be able to contribute significantly and assume a leadership role. Brighton will keep pressing for a better deal even though they appear content to lose the midfield player.

The Other Aim
Heavens According to German media, Jerdy Schouten of PSV was another midfield player that Dortmund had their eye on for the midfield spot. Although the Dutch international has been contacted, a deal is unlikely to happen because the Eredivise side is asking for around €30 million, which is deemed to be too much.

Dortmund’s Summer Renovation
Under the direction of their new head coach Nuri Şahin, Dortmund is still rebuilding. Along with Lyon striker Rayan Cherki, the club is rumored to be working on negotiations for Yan Couto, formerly of Girona; nevertheless, Dortmund is prioritizing other acquisitions over the Frenchman.
