Everton have a long-term contract lined up for Jesper Lindstrom to sign if they decide to make his loan move permanent, according to Tutto Mercato Web.

The Italian outlet reported via their website on 24 July that the Napoli winger is due to sign his contract the same day to complete a loan-to-buy move to Goodison Park after also having passed his medical.

Everton are set to pay a €3million loan fee [£2.5m] and will have the option to keep the Dane for a further €22m [£18.5m] at the end of the deal.

If they choose to do so the 24-year-old has a multi-year deal ready to sign to keep him at the club.

Sean Dyche on the brink of another attacking Everton signing

Lindstrom is about to join a group of wide men under Sean Dyche that looks like being an exciting unit this season.

He is the second loanee winger to arrive at Goodison Park this summer after Jack Harrison was brought back from Leeds United.

And Iliman Ndiaye has been signed from Marseille on a permanent deal after the Frenchman was pursued for multiple windows [L’Equipe], joining Dyche’s former Burnley favourite Dwight McNeil in the squad.

Incoming deals so far appear to have survived any major impact from the renewed uncertainty of the ownership situation and Amadou Onana’s sale to Aston Villa looks to have provided funding for some immediate business.

Further high-profile sales have been tipped as inevitable thanks to the takeover collapse [Talking The Blues, 20 July] and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one star that the Toffees are actively looking to offload now that he won’t be signing a new contract [Paul Joyce, 19 July].

So there whether Everton are in a position to pick up Lindstrom for eight-figures in a year’s time will not only depend on how he performs in the Premier League but where the club’s financial footing is now that The Friedkin Group’s takeover has ended.
