As they near a deal for Jesper Lindstrom, Everton is prepared to increase its interest in Wilfried Gnonto, according to i News.

On Wednesday, July 24, the outlet posted on its website that Lindstrom’s loan move from Napoli to Goodison Park, which includes a buyout option, should be finalized soon.

The Toffees will focus on fresh targets after the Danish winger comes on Merseyside, one of whom being Leeds United’s Gnonto, who is still a top target for Sean Dyche’s team this summer.

Despite off-field events at Goodison Park, Everton still has the funds to bolster their team because they sold Amadou Onana to Premier League rivals Aston Villa for £50 million.

Amidst a transfer update, will Everton sign Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto?
Everton has maintained that they will have money to spend this summer despite the demise of Dan Friedkin’s takeover at Goodison Park, and as of right now, that seems to still be the case.

Although Dyche will benefit greatly by the arrival of Lindstrom, who will finally provide him more depth in the middle of the park, the Toffees manager is still severely lacking choices going into the upcoming campaign.

Following Leeds’ relegation, Gnonto hasn’t been able to light up the Championship, but he did demonstrate during his time in the top flight with the Whites that he can be an extremely productive player at that level.

It won’t be simple to negotiate for the Italian international’s signature because Leeds won’t want to part with one of their best players, but the Toffees appear certain they have the funds to make this acquisition.

The Blues should move quickly to finalize this trade so that both of the new additions have enough time to adjust to their new surroundings before the preseason concludes.
