According to MailOnline, Everton is expected to complete a deal for Jesper Lindstrom, a winger for Napoli, within the next 24 hours.

The Toffees are closing in on a deal that would make Lindstrom the team’s third senior signing of the summer, according to a Simon Jones piece from July 25.

According to Tutto Mercato Web (July 24), the transfer will be considered an initial loan with a buyout option for the 24-year-old at the conclusion of the season.

According to Jones’ story, Sean Dyche is eager to bring another center-back, Kalvin Phillips, to Goodison Park.

Everton targets a defender, Lindstrom, and Phillips.
Even though the club’s takeover process is causing havoc upstairs at Goodison Park, Everton’s recruitment procedure is undoubtedly more organized than it was in the past.

The Athletic [24 July] recalled the gloomy summer of 2017, when the club brought in four attacking midfielders amidst absurd miscommunications within the hierarchy.

Now with a winger in Lindstrom set for Merseyside after a difficult season with Napoli in terms of game time, and an experienced England midfielder in Phillips looking to rekindle his career away from Manchester City, a centre-half would then complement Dyche’s arrivals nicely.

Another central midfielder, Tim Iroegbunam, has already arrived from Aston Villa alongside striker Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille.

The Toffees have registered an interest in Jake O’Brien, who has been superb at the back for Lyon since arriving last summer from Crystal Palace – but Brentford currently remain favourites for his signature.
