According to a report in the Turkish press, Trabonspor is still reportedly interested in Burnley striker Wout Weghorst.

The Netherlands international is rumored to be leaving Turf Moor this summer, with many teams interested in signing him.

Weghorst is reportedly taking decisive action to quit Burnley after considering his options following Euro 2024, according to Baskatip. Trabzonspor is reportedly among the teams with the best chance to sign the player this month.

According to reports, the Championship team is willing to pay a club around €10 million to sign the Dutchman.
Weghorst is a free agent, and Trabzonspor will have competition from Ajax, who wants to allow him to go back to his native country. Rangers, a huge Scottish team, have also been connected to the former Manchester United player recently.

The Championship team will be under pressure to let him go this summer or risk losing him on a free agent next summer, as he only has a year left on his deal.

Weghorst previously spent a brief loan at Besiktas in Turkey during the 2022–2023 season.
