Leeds United Women are pleased to announce the signing of Shauna Legge, who joins the club from Halifax Women.

The Leeds-born defender starred in the Northern Premier League last term, starting in all 22 matches as Halifax finished sixth in the highly competitive division.

Starting out at Beeston Juniors, the 29-year-old has gone on to represent Bradford City and Huddersfield Town, before joining Halifax in 2019.

A leader on the pitch, Shauna captained the side since the beginning of the 2022/23 season, bringing a wealth of experience as she joins the Whites ahead of their upcoming FAWNL Division One North campaign.

Legge becomes the club’s first signing of the summer and joins up with Simon Wood’s squad for pre-season training.

Everyone at Leeds United would like to welcome Shauna to the club and we look forward to seeing her in action at the Bannister Prentice Stadium.
