The Athletic reports that Daniel Farke aims to bolster his squad before the transfer deadline on August 30 by adding at least another midfielder and full-back.

The publication stated on July 30 that the West Yorkshire team is still interested in signing Dejan Ljubicic, a midfield player for Koln, even though their initial £3.4 million offer was turned down.

In spite of Jayden Bogle’s arrival, the report continues, another full-back is desired to lessen the load on the available choices.

Leeds United is set to bring in two new players in August. With the departure of Archie Gray, the midfield of Leeds was always going to require some improvement. Even though the 18-year-old didn’t play in his ideal position very often, he was undoubtedly the team’s finest defensive midfield option.

Although Glen Kamara’s departure didn’t help much either, it’s obvious why the club decided to sell up given the sum they were paid.

For the most part of the season, Gray was the Whites’ first choice right-back, with Sam Byram filling in. Gray also covered the midfield position.

This was all well and good, but Byram had to cover the left and right sides of defense, which meant the West Yorkshire team had nowhere to turn in the event of an injury.

The two positions of full-back and midfield—which Joe Rodon has returned to—are by far the most critical for Leeds to strengthen out of all the places in their team.

It remains to be seen if this materializes, but if it does, Farke’s team will be in a far stronger position.
