Leeds United secured their first win of the season after beating Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 at Hillsborough on Friday night.
Now the pressure has been lifted, the Whites can focus on the transfer front.
Largie Ramazani was on the stands after he completed his move to Elland Road this week from Almeria.
Sky Sports reported this week that Leeds are looking to sign at least three players in the last seven days, and they could be close to landing one.
Earlier this week, Sport5 claimed that the Whites were looking to sign Tottenham winger Manor Solomon, who has offers from other clubs.
However, it appears that Leeds have won the race for his signature because the player wants to stay in England.
Romano wrote: “Manor Solomon set for medical tests at Leeds United on Saturday. He’s leaving Spurs after rejecting bid from Getafe as England has always been his priority. Deal at final stages with Leeds…”
The 25-year-old winger joined Spurs last summer from Shakhtar Donetsk. He managed only six games last season and missed most of the season through injuries.
He will join on loan, but it is not clear whether the Whites will have any obligation to buy him.
According to Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are expected to cover significant wages by Championship standards. He typically plays from the left and will add tremendous experience to Daniel Farke’s side.
While he didn’t play enough games last season, journalist James Marsshment notes that Solomon was “unplayable” a couple of years back. And Leeds boss will be hoping that the Israel international will recapture the old form.
Leeds sold Archie Gray to Tottenham, and signed Joe Rodon from them permanently this summer already.
