As Wolves move forward with a contract to sign Sam Johnstone, Crystal Palace is considering names, including Bournemouth keeper Mark Travers.

As Wolves move in on a deal to sign Johnstone, who Oliver Glasner disclosed this week has asked to go, the Eagles are poised to be in the market for the keeper in the last days of the window.

Glasner’s first-choice keeper is Dean Henderson, and Johnstone will need to leave Selhurst Park in order to be eligible to play for England again.

Travers will no longer be needed at The Vitality Stadium as Bournemouth closes a deal to sign Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga on a loan.

The 25-year-old is well-known to Dean Kiely, the goalie coach at Palace and the keeper coach for Ireland, having made four senior appearances for his nation.

Joe Whitworth and Owen Goodman are out on loan in the EFL, thus Remi Matthews will remain as Palace’s number three.
