Before Friday’s transfer deadline, West Ham United is working harder to get Carlos Soler, a midfielder for Paris Saint-Germain, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who spoke with GIVEMESPORT.

According to Romano, Soler has already given the go-ahead for director Tim Steidten and manager Julen Lopetegui to bring the Spaniard to the London Stadium before the window closes.

The teams are now in negotiations over a possible £22 million deal, and the Hammers’ top objective this week is still adding midfield players.

After bringing in as many as nine new players to the London Stadium this summer, Lopetegui is also seeking to reduce his team while keeping an eye on departures.

Along with the previously mentioned Max Kilman, Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Guido Rodriguez, and Jean-Clair Todibo, Soler is now expected to be the last and newest member to join this summer.

Speaking to GMS, Romano disclosed that since Steidten and Lopetegui are “pushing” for the transaction to close, West Ham may make a “strong” bid for Soler in the last days of the transfer window:

“The player wants to go to West Ham; the manager, Lopetegui, is Spanish, and the director is pushing for it. Thus, this might possibly play a significant role.

“So, negotiations are underway, and I believe West Ham can close this deal before the window closes.”

Just two years after joining PSG from Valencia, the Spain international is prepared to leave the French city in quest of consistent playing time this season.

Under Luis Enrique, Soler has primarily been a supporting role.

Danny Ings is scheduled to leave Hammers towards the end of the transfer window
Danny Ings, striker for West Ham
Fabrizio Romano told GIVEMESPORT that a number of players, including Danny Ings of West Ham, could depart the London Stadium in the last days of the transfer market.

After fighting for playing time under David Moyes in the previous season, the seasoned striker has been linked to a possible exit all summer long.

Since Niclas Fullkrug joined the team, Ings has fallen even lower in the hierarchy because new manager Lopetegui views him as surplus to requirements.

According to reports, the former Liverpool striker is ranked joint third-highest
