The defender Morato of Benfica is his route to Nottingham Forest to finalize a €15–20 million deadline-day transfer.
Journalist Bruno Andrade claims that the defender is currently en route to Nottingham Forest to complete the transfer.
According to him, Benfica is expected to pay €15–20 million for the Brazilian defender, who would make Nottingham Forest’s tenth summer signing.
Beyond the transfer fee and the player’s trip, Andrade gives little more information on the deal; yet, it seems that Portugal is confident it will be completed before the transfer window closes.
Morato, along with Zach Abbott, Andrew Omobamidele, Nikola Milenkovic, Willy Boly, and Murillo, will be Nottingham Forest’s sixth center defender.
He was most likely intended to replace Joe Worrall, who joined Burnley, or Moussa Niakhate, who left to join Lyon.
What part he will play going forward is still unknown, especially in light of Milenkovic’s arrival earlier this summer in a €14.3 million deal.
Nuno Espirito Santo will have to make that decision, and for the time being, it looks like the defender is traveling to complete his transfer, which has already been approved by Benfica.
