According to UOL, West Ham United defender Luizao may sign with Turkish Super Lig team Eyupspor prior to their summer transfer deadline.

According to the news source, the Turkish team has until Friday, September 13th, to pursue a loan deal for the Brazilian.

Although no formal offer has been made, there are rumors that Eyupspor wants to move quickly to expedite talks with West Ham in the upcoming days.

Luizao’s deal to West Ham United is anticipated.

The Brazilian defender hasn’t played as a senior for the Hammers since moving to the London Stadium back in January 2023.

He was recruited to London in the first place as a member of the Hammers’ development team, and he did make his under-21 debut.

Nonetheless, a lot of teams have expressed interest in signing him since the summer transfer market started.

The defender had been linked to clubs in Belgium and France [Bruno Andrade, 28 August] as well as Championship team Stoke City [Felipe Silva, 29 August].

Nothing has ever materialized despite the considerable interest in the young player, and it seemed as though Luizao was doomed to remain in the Hammers’ academy indefinitely.

Even yet, the defender still has options, so it is only fair to give him a weekly opportunity to show off his skills.

Given that he has a contract with West Ham through 2026, a loan move would also be more than sufficient if Julen Lopetegui finds something in him.
